Greenwich Project Planning Success
Planning permission secured for a sensitive heritage-led scheme of a Grade II listed building in the West Greenwich Conservation Area and Greenwich World Heritage Site

The Project
The building has a fascinating history, with origins as a 19th-century coaching inn, and retains significant architectural character externally despite a modest level of historic fabric internally.
This carefully considered project will see the first, second, and third floors converted into three new self-contained apartments (two two-bedroom and one one-bedroom), alongside a third-floor rear extension and a series of internal and external alterations.
Our Role
Our team prepared a comprehensive Heritage Statement that assessed the building’s significance, considered impacts on surrounding designated and non-designated assets, and demonstrated that the proposals would cause no harm.
The Outcome
Through the use of sensitive materials and respect for the historic planform, this scheme will enhance the building’s character and help secure its long-term use and maintenance – a great example of heritage-led development adding value to both a historic building and its wider setting.
